Smallpdf Announces New Hybrid Post-Pandemic Working Model

Smallpdf isn’t just the world’s most loved PDF management tool, we also want to be the most loved workplace!

We’re thrilled to announce that we'll be implementing a hybrid working model post pandemic, which combines in-office and remote work to suit each and every one of our employees.

Returning to work after Covid shouldn’t be a return to the workplace of old; at Smallpdf the workplace of the future is here, now. Smallpdf has seen amazing growth in the usage of our 20+ PDF tools during the pandemic, with over 40 million people using the tools every month. Despite the pandemic, the company has more than doubled its staff and produced outstanding results, proving that great work is produced by great people working from anywhere.

What does this mean?

The new working model puts employees first, giving them full ownership of their time. They have the freedom and flexibility to work from home, the office—or anywhere—as often as they’d like. Employees are only required to work from the office for a minimum of five days every month.

Will this affect the company culture?

 

Face-to-face time is invaluable for connecting and building bonds with colleagues to keep up team spirit and foster empathy. The five office days per month are intended to encourage relationship building.

Other office days will include important company-wide meetings, celebrations, and events.

What are the benefits?

 

Smallpdf’s employees spoke, and the company listened! Employees enjoyed the freedom, flexibility, and benefits of working from home during the pandemic. They are keen for a work model that embraces these advantages while allowing others to return to the office if they wish. Smallpdf’s new hybrid work model considers employees’ physical and mental health and added benefits, like a lighter environmental footprint, less travel time, and cost savings.
